Uttar Pradesh Technical University may display the fully solved Answer Sheet / Optical Mark Reader of Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination 2014 after the conduct of the UPSEE – 2014 for admission in both Under Graduate Courses and Post Graduate Programs.

Scoring & Negative Marking;
The UPSEE – 2014 shall be an Objective Type Test consisting of Multiple Choice Questions, which the candidates shall be required to answer on a specially designed OMR answer sheet against the respective question number. Candidate is supposed to select only one choice for correct answer in each question.
Every objective multiple type question would carry four marks for each correct answer. More than one answers indicated against the question will be deemed as incorrect answer and no marks shall be awarded for the incorrect answer.
There will be no negative marking. However, a record of incorrect answers given by a candidate will be kept separately.
The cut-off percentage of marks in UPSEE-2014 for the merit of successful candidates is 25% (20% for SC/ST) as per UP State Government order.
Successful candidates shall be called for Counselling according to their merit in UPSEE-2014 by giving intimation through Newspapers and website. However, the allotment of seat shall depend on the availability of seat on the day of counseling. The successful candidates are advised to keep a close watch on UPTU websites and Newspapers for Counseling dates. The Counseling schedule can be downloaded from the website.
Mode of Admission in Under Graduate Courses:
Admission To First Year
The Entrance Examination for admission to first year of the following courses offered at the Institutions affiliated to UPTU, Lucknow including other mentioned universities situated in territory of Uttar Pradesh for the academic year 2014-2015 shall be conducted by Uttar Pradesh Technical University, Lucknow.
(i) 4 year B. Tech. / B.Tech. (Ag. Engg.) Course (iv) 4 year BHMCT Course
(ii) 4 year B.Pharm. Course (v) 4 year BFAD Course
(iii) 5 year B.Arch. Course (vi) 4 year BFA Courses
Direct admission (Lateral Entry) to Second Year (for Diploma Holders & B.Sc. Graduates):
The eligible candidates (Refer clause 3.3 of the UGC Information Brochure) seeking direct admission to second year of B.Tech. (for engineering diploma holders and B.Sc. graduates) or B.Pharm. (only for pharmacy diploma holders) in institutions affiliated to UPTU, Lucknow, are required to submit the application forms by the last date. Such candidates are also required to appear in the specified paper of entrance examination.
Such seats are limited to a maximum of 20% in addition to the sanctioned intake in institutions / colleges for different courses at first year level. However, students belonging to B.Sc. stream shall be considered only after filling the seats in this category with students of Diploma stream.
Direct admission to second year shall not be made in B.Arch./BHMCT/BFAD/BFA Courses.
Mode of Admission to Post Graduate Programs:
Admission to First Year:
The Entrance Examination for admission to the first year of the following courses offered at the Institutions affiliated to UPTU, Lucknow including other mentioned universities situated in territory of Uttar Pradesh for the academic year 2014-2015 shall be conducted by Uttar Pradesh Technical University, Lucknow.
2-year MBA Course (ii) 3 year MCA Course (iii) 5 year MAM (Dual degree) Course.
The duration of courses shall be for a total period of 5 years spread over ten semesters.
The courses shall provide an Under Graduate Degree in 3 or 4 years, (BM/BAM) followed by a Master’s Degree in five years (MAM) as below
Award of a bachelor’s degree (BM) at the end of three years, if one wishes to discontinue the studies OR
Award of a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Management (BAM) at the end of four years
Award of Master’s degree in Applied Management (MAM) at the end of five years.
Note: (BAM shall not be awarded to one who has acquired a BM degree however; a certificate for credits acquired at 4th year shall be given).
Direct Admission (Lateral Entry) to Second Year of MCA
The eligible candidates (Refer clause 3.3 of the Information Brochure for Post Graduate Programs) seeking direct admission to second year of MCA (Lateral Entry) in institutions affiliated to UPTU, Lucknow, are required to submit the application forms by the last date. Such candidates shall also be required to appear in the specified paper of entrance examination.
Such seats are limited to a maximum of 20% in addition to the sanctioned intake in institutions / colleges for different courses at first year level.
Direct admission to second year shall not be made in MBA / MAM (Dual Degree) Courses.
